Lesley Haines and Stephen Titter have been appointed to the BRANZ Board of Directors. As independent Board members, they will work alongside five other construction industry-nominated Directors.

Lesley Haines has an extensive public sector and client focus background and is a former Deputy Chief Executive of the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment. Additionally, she has a strong understanding of health and safety issues at a leadership level from playing a significant part in the formation of WorkSafe New Zealand.

Stephen Titter combines many years of practical financial and investment experience. Formerly a senior partner and Board member of Ernst & Young, he currently holds a number of independent directorships, including the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.

‘For BRANZ to consistently transform research into accessible, actionable knowledge, we need to attract robust governance skills, informed by a knowledge of customer-focused delivery,’ says BRANZ Chair Dr Helen Anderson.

‘BRANZ consistently partners with researchers, government and industry to tackle the challenge of building better homes, towns and cities for New Zealand. Lesley and Stephen will provide enormous insight and experience into this task.’
